AmVets consists of American Veterans who support their fellow Veterans. We do various fundraisers throughout the year and use the proceeds to send care packages to our soldiers and to the VA Hospital in Danville. We provide medical equipment such as walkers and wheelchairs to anyone who needs them.
We award an annual Americanism Award, which is a patriotic program the organization offers to schools and youth organizations as a resource for teaching children in kindergarten through 12th grade about their American heritage, civics and citizenship.
We participate in many civic and public events such as the annual Christmas parade.
Meetings are held on the second Monday of each month at 7pm at 302 N. Monroe Street, Clinton, IL.
Any honorably discharged veteran or anyone currently serving in the military is encouraged to join.
New members are always welcome.
For anyone currently in the service, AMVETS pays for their first year of membership.
